Celebration of Donna’s Life will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday December 9, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL. Burial will follow at Butternut Cemetery rural Clark County.
Visitation will be from 10:00am -12:00 Noon on Saturday December 9, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Donna LaVonne Polley, 81, of Oblong, IL passed away on Monday December 4, 2017 at Heartland Health Care in Champaign, IL.
Donna was born in Clark County Illinois on November 20, 1936 to Loren Kenneth and Florence Evelyn (Johnson) Elliott. On May 16, 1958 she married Rodney Earl Polley who preceded her in 1996.
Donna was the owner and operator of the Oblong News stand for eight years. She had also worked for Stewart Security for 12 years before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Robinson, IL, the Oblong High School class of 1955, the Crawford County V.F.W. Post # 4549 Auxiliary and the E.M. Coulter American Legion Post # 69 Auxiliary. Donna was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the University of Illinois sports teams. She was also very active in her church and helped with various activities at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong for several years. The family will be forever grateful to Heartland Health Care in Champaign for the loving care they gave Donna.
Donna is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law Steven E. Polley, Savoy, IL, Leslie L. and Nancy Polley, Oblong, IL; a daughter and son-in-law Debra L. and Steve Malloch, Urbana, IL; four grandsons Loren K. Polley, Andrew and wife Haylea Hummel, Randy L. Prince and Logan Hawkins; three great grandchildren Brenna L. Polley, Elliott W. Polley, and Adylynne J. Polley. Donna is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Donald D. and Darlene Elliott, Jonesville, MI; and two sisters Shirley A. Schedlbauer, Mattoon, IL and Sharon K. Mewmaw, Oswego, IL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Larry and Gary Elliott and a sister Linda Elliott.
